Manny Pacquiao sent to school a supposed to be challenging sparring mate who also won the National Golden Gloves light-welterweight award in 2009.
Jose Benavidez, a 17 year old, 5”11 American fighter is one of the Pacquiao’s sparring mate at the Wild Card Gym in preparation for his defense of his welterweight title fight against Joshua Clottey.
Despite having an impeccable record as an amateur of 120-5 and a knock out win during his pro debut on the first round, Benavidez was just toyed by the pound-for-pound king. So far Manny Pacquiao has already logged 16 rounds of sparring in just three days and is on his second week of training. Despite of this, his trainers are already getting awed at the shape and conditioning of the Pacman.
